Returns and Refund Policy
Once placing your order cancellations or changes can not be made, if you had accidentally entered incorrect shipping details please contact AWS via phone on (03) 5274 9049 or email info@actionwatersports.com.au and we can try and rectify the issue asap if time allows.
AWS will accept returns for goods purchase from us and offer a replacement or repair if the item within 30 days from purchase if:
- Item did not match the description or display stock that you had inspected
- Item is faulty or become faulty within a reasonable time after purchase, or the items warranty.
- Item did not perform the way it was listed and stated.
- If the item was unacceptable quality
- If the item failed to meet mandatory consumer guaranteed under the Australian Consumer Law.
An order submitted on our website will be processed and dispatched promptly and we can supply tracking information via email, we will treat your order just as an in store and customer service is paramount.
Returning products should include the original packaging and condition as when it was received. AWS Customers will be responsible for freight charges for any returns / exchange please ensure to return via registered post as we will not be liable if is not received to our address.
Items Damaged via Shipping or Defective
AWS go to the effort to package items carefully to prevent any damage in transit, sometimes you may receive an item that has sustained some damage in transit. In most cases it may just be the packaging that is the issue but if goods arrived are damaged or are defective in some way, please contact us so we can rectify the problem asap. Clearance Items
Refunds will not be available regarding clearance items for incorrect size / colour selection or change of mind. Exchange or store credit may be offered but will depend on stock availability.
Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Hobie Kayak Warranty
Hobie offers a comprehensive warranty on their watercraft that covers defects in the materials, manufacturing, and design. Hobie, as its option, will repair or replace a product found to be defective under the terms and within the period of this Warranty.
For 2019 and newer model years:
Hobie Kayak, Eclipse, SUP – 3 years warranty on hull and replacement parts or repairs
Hobie Inflatable Kayaks and SUPS – 2 years warranty on hull and replacement parts or repairs
What isn’t covered under Hobie Warranty
-Normal wear and discolouration
-Damage caused by negligence or failure to perform basic maintenance
-Damage caused by hitting submerged objects or beaching without retracting MirageDrive and Rudder
-Damage caused by storing the boat in the water
-Damage caused by improperly supporting kayak when transporting or storing.
-Weather related damage, such as prolonged sun exposure or freezing temperatures
-Damage caused by alterations or modifications
-Transportation of boat or parts to Hobie Cat Company or it’s dealers
-Any boat used for rental or in commercial service of any kind.
How to engage Hobie Warranty Service
Within 30 days of discovering a defect, take your Hobie product, along with proof of purchase (sales receipt) to the authorised Hobie dealer from you purchased your boat unless you have moved or are travelling. In that case, take it to the nearest authorised Hobie dealer
It is the responsibility of the owner to present the kayak, part, or accessory to the place of purchase or authorised dealer for warranty assessment. AWS does not cover shipping or transport costs for warranty claims.
